Our K-5 curriculum provides students the opportunity for academic, social, and emotional growth in a highly structured, back-to-basics learning environment. The educational program places a strong emphasis on high academic standards, student responsibility, appropriate conduct, and active parental involvement.
Dress Code
Swanson Student Dress Code Policy 2026-2027
BOY Uniform Requirements:
● Dress Pants - navy, black, tan (No jeans)
● Dress Shorts - navy, black, tan (April 1 - Oct 31) (No gray)
● Collared Dress Shirts: navy, light blue, black, white, or red shirts - Solid colors (No burgundy, green, pink, or yellow)
● Polo style shirt, sweater, sweater vest, cardigan, pullover sweater, Swanson pullover sweatshirt or turtleneck - short or long sleeve - No logos - Same colors as above.
● Swanson Spirit wear zip-up fleece, or Swanson Spirit wear crewneck sweatshirt with uniform collar shirt underneath.
● Socks and belts - any color.
● Athletic shoes or dress shoes of any color. No light-up shoes, sandals, Crocs, open-toed shoes, or flip-flops.
● Swanson Spirit wear is allowed Monday-Friday.
GIRL Uniform Requirements:
● Dress Pants - navy, black, tan (No jeans) ● Jumper, skort, skirt - navy, black, tan, and red, black or blue plaid (No jeans)
● Dress Shorts - navy, black, tan (can be worn April 1 - Oct 31)

Uniform Policy:
1. All clothing must be clean, well-maintained, fit properly, and school-appropriate.
2. Underclothing should not show.
3. Shorts, skirts, and jumpers are fingertip length.
4. A uniform collared shirt is worn under any pullover, cardigan, or vest.
5. Students need to change from winter boots to shoes before entering the classroom.
The administration reserves the right to make final judgment concerning the appropriateness of a student’s attire/appearance.

Students are required to wear gym shoes to participate in gym activities.
If you have gym shoes that have been outgrown, and you would like to donate, please send them to me.
They come in handy when students forget their gym shoes. These are always disinfected after every use. Like bowling shoes, only better!
